JEANNE PALMER-FORNAROLA – Clinical Assistant Professor in Dance

at the University at Buffalo, currently serves at the director of the dance program. She instructs courses in ballet, dance history, teaching methods, and research in dance.

Jeanne serves as the Secretary on the Board of Directors for NYSDEA/NDEO.  She is an active free lance writer and a frequent contributor to the Journal of Dance Education, Dance Teacher/Spirit, Dance Studio Life, and an auditor for NYSCA.  Her area of research and publication explores the cognitive benefits of creative movement, dance, and their importance in the K -12 curriculum.

Jeanne has been a faculty member at the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts; Buffalo City School #71, Dance Masters of America Teacher Training School, DMA SHIP, and program director for the Williamsville Central School District Dance Ensemble.  She was the founding director of the Binghamton University Summer Dance Program, a faculty member at Broome Community College, and a teaching artist for Southern Tier Institute for Arts in Education. She was the owner and director of Danceworks of Rochester; Inc.  She holds an MAH from the University at Buffalo; BA in Dance from Mercyhurst College, and is a NYS Certified Teacher in Dance.
