AUDITION APPOINTMENTS FOR FALL 2009 PRODUCTIONS

This Fall departmental auditions for all BFA students are scheduled the first day of classes, Monday, August 31 - these appointments are in alphabetical order, by class standing in the department.

The following day, Tuesday, September 1, will be the usual sign-up system you have been accustomed to for the BA students, incoming freshmen, transfer students, and others - that sign-up sheet will be posted Monday, August 31, in the a.m., on the Production Board in the CFA. Callbacks will happen on the following Wednesday.

Everyone is required to prepare a one-two minute modern monologue.
Additionally, prepare an audition song.  Music Theatre BFA students will sing 32 bars.  Other students will sing 16 bars.  Audition songs must be legitimate Broadway genre, NOT ROCK (despite the fact that the show is rock), and demonstrate the ability to sustain a musical phrase.  Rock style singing will be addressed in the callback with sides from the show.

Remember, all BFAs are required to audition and accept both the role and production in which they are cast unless previously excused by the director of their program and the Department Chair.

*** Auditions are the very first two days of classes.  Please prepare your monologue and audition song over the summer!      Callback will be on Wednesday, 9/2.  Be sure to keep all times free in order to audition during the first week of classes.
